Room Escape Berlin – Exit Game – Alien Invasion
the first game is offered with more than 60min, you got 66min this time. I like this new version of Exit much better than the old one: the briefing area/waiting area is underground like a war/mission secret setting, with cinema like chairs for the agents. We had a 10min intensive briefing (explanation of the game concepts and the rules, as well as dos and donts), good for beginners to get excited, not quite relevant for profi of course. Each room has a game master, who has a special uniform on, to guide you and inspect on the game, like your coach. All in all, I feel like this is the only escape provider with such intensive and formal ambiance setup and mood preparation – they are serious about it.
They also separate mission game (you need to complete a mission in the room, the door is not locked) vs. escape game (your aim goal is to get out of the room, which I find it more exciting – your life and death matter here, come on), on the other hand, this is good for people with a bit claustrophobia or not comfortable being locked out for whatever reason.
The game itself is satifying, logic is clear, not too hard – however we omit a key point in the beginning, and could have needed less hint or finished faster.
